Smart Energy Sensors Lab

Welcome!

SES Lab is focusing on structural health monitoring (SHM) systems with smart sensors. SHM is the process of detecting and characterizing damages in engineering structures to ensure structural integrity and safety of aerospace, civil, and mechanical engineering infrastructures. In near future, it will be possible to predict remaining useful lifetime through digital twin and artificial intelligence. But for this, sufficient and accurate data from physical system should be properly acquired. Moreover, the sensor nodes need to be self-powered, so that they can cover wide range of the structure without power supply issues.
